AN MP is keen to see more charities and community groups bid for cash.
Mark Francois, Tory MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, is organising a Big Lottery Fund event for any organisations who are looking for funding.
The event, on Friday, January 13 is aimed at helping schools, parish councils and voluntary groups find out more about the money available and how to apply.
The briefing, in Wickford, will be attended by the Big Lottery Fund’s Chief Executive Peter Wanless and representatives from local support organisations including the Rayleigh and Rochford Association of Voluntary Services.
Representatives from the Arts Council, Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England will be giving an overview of the funding available and there will be an opportunity to discuss any proposed projects in workshops and one-to-one sessions.
People wanting to attend must book a place and full details of times and the address will be given via email closer to the event. Places are limited.
To find out more or book, email regionevents.ea@biglotteryfund.org.uk or go to www.rochford.gov.uk.
