Crash in Rayleigh blocks road

TWO cars crashed in Rayleigh this morning blocking the road.

At 7.45am a black Ford Fiesta and a grey Renault Megane collided in Crown Hill between the high street and the railway station.

The road was blocked in both directions for about 45 minutes while emergency services dealt with the accident.

One man received minor injuries.

Of course I don't know the circumstances, but it seems nobody was badly hurt.

People do make a song and dance when a minor collision takes place these days.

I know that for most people, the car is their pride and joy, but if the vehicles are drivable, the first thing you should do is move them so as not to cause an obstruction. Not leave them blocking the road while you exchange details, and argue the toss as to who is to blame.
