Road closed following Rayleigh car crash

MOTORISTS in Rayleigh faced disruption this afternoon following a car crash.

A Peugeot and Jaguar collided in Eastwood Road, close to the junction with Picton Gardens, at around 3pm.

The emergency services attended the scene and closed the road for 30 minutes whilst the area was made safe.

The two female passengers were both complaining of back and neck pain and treated by paramedics at the scene.
