Meet inspirational Olympic diver in Rochford
11:26am Friday 3rd August 2012 in News By Emma Thomas
AN INSPIRATIONAL Olympic diver will be talking about her experiences at a special event.
Rochford resident and former Olympic diver, Ann Pearce (nee Long), competed for Great Britain in three Olympic Games.
On Wednesday, August 8 between 10am and 1pm, she will be at Rayleigh Windmill in Bellingham Lane sharing her experiences of competing at the highest level and talking about what it takes to represent your country at the Games.
As well as meeting Ann, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the “Rochford District celebrates in 2012” exhibition, which includes London 2012 and the Olympic Torch Relay passing through
Rayleigh.
The exhibition also includes materials collected through Rochford’s Dreams and Memories Olympic archive project.
The exhibition is on until Sunday, August 12.
