POLICE have issued the name of a Rayleigh man believed to have been murdered at the weekend.

Detectives are investigating how Anton Jardin, 39, of Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, was killed at a house party off the A414, London Road, Chelmsford yesterday.

Police arrested ten men who were quizzed on suspicion of murder.

Eight of the men have now been bailed. Men aged 29, 25, and 23, have now been bailed to September 19. Men 35, 28, 29, 27, and 27 have been bailed to September 26.

Two men remain in police custody. They are a 25 year old man from Westcliff and a 34 year old man from Rayleigh. Magistrates have granted an extention of 24 hours to police detention for further questioning.

His family issued a join tribute to say he was a "loving and caring" son.

They added.: "We are devastated at losing him, words cannot express our loss; there is a hole in our lives which cannot be filled. "

Ten men aged between 25 and 35, all from Essex, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remained in police custody on Sunday.

A post mortem examination found Mr Jardin died of head injuries and an inquest will shortly be opened.
