Man arrested after attack outside nightclub

A MAN has been arrested following an attack outside a Southend nightclub.

The 25-year-old victim was outside Mayhem, in Warrior Square, when he was set upon.

He suffered facial injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene at about 2.25am on Sunday.

A suspect, a man aged 18 from Grays, was arrested.

He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue to January 22.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact PC David Kateley at Southend police station on 101 ext 470100.

It will come down to his word against the victims and he will trot out the 'self defence' line making it impossible to 'prove beyond reasonable doubt'

Even if he is found guilty he'll only get a slap on the wrist like a caution or a bit of community service thanks to our joke of a legal system.
