Family threatened by a gunman in their Southend home
3:32pm Sunday 13th January 2013 in Southend
AN armed robber threatened a family with his gun.
Two masked thieves, one wielding a handgun, first threatened two men looking at a motorbike for sale outside the family home in St Ann’s Road, Southend.
The gunman then burst inside the home and found seven family members, including children. He then demanded money.
Having no luck he grabbed a mobile phone and ran off, with his accomplice who was waiting outside.
The pair were pursued by brave family members, but got away.
The incident happened at about 6pm last Wednesday, but police only released the information on Sunday.
Anyone with information call Det Con Brown and Southend CID on 101 - or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

What colour was the vehicle?
There are a number of petty criminals who are stupid enough to pull this kind of stunt in the direct area surrounding their own homes.
Give us the details of the vehicle and perhaps local residents may have a better idea of who it may have been.
