A KILLER has been jailed for five years after a death at a party yards away from the V festival.

Sam Martin, of Eastwood Road, Leigh, was found not guilty of the murder of Anton Jardin.

But he had already pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

It happened after Mr Jardin, 39, from Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, got involved in an argument with another man.

Sam Martin, who had a cocktail of drinks and drugs inside him, then decided to attack the man he thought was at fault.

Despite emergency aid from people at the party and the ambulance service Mr Jardin died.
