Man in hospital with head and face injuries after Rayleigh attack
A man has been hospitalised with head and face injuries after being attacked in the small hours of the morning.
Two men, a 20-year-old from Canvey, and an 18-year-old from Colchester, have been arrested on suspicion of assault after the attack in Rayleigh High Street at around 2am.
The 27-year-old victim, from Southend, has been taken to hospital but police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
Officers went to the scene shortly after the incident to find the man injured.
The duo that have been arrested have been kept in custody and are due to be questioned by officers later today.
