Delibrate fire spreads to terraced housing
FIREFIGHTERS put out a blaze after a deliberate fire spread to a terraced house in Southend.
The fire was started on a garden fence in Quebec Avenue in Southend, before spreading to a nearby terraced house.
The fire caused several different blazes at the property leading to extra crews being called to the scene from Southend and Leigh fire stations.
Crews were called to the scene at about 11.15am and had brought the blaze under control by 11.40am.
It is not thought anyone has been injured in the incident.
A joint police and fire service investigation has been launched.
