A LITTLE girl is set to play the lead role in a Channel 5 animation.

Peyton Jowers, who is just four years old, is working on a voiceover of the TV channels new animation Whisper?

Peyton, who has already appeared commercials and photo shoots, plays a penguin who is the best friend of a little girl who can speak to animals.

The 52 episodes, which are due to begin in September, are currently being filmed.

Mum Dominique, 26, of Bellhouse Road, Eastwood, said: “Peyton has been dancing since she was two and started drama school at three. She loves it. We put her forward for a London agency when she was three and her first job was for a British Airways digital billboard.

“She’s also worked for Argos and has taken part in local theatre shows. She had her first recording for Channel 5 last week, working with the director.

She practised one line and got that right before moving on to the next. The little girl and the penguin are the two lead characters.

They’re best friends and go on adventures together.” Mrs Jowers added: “She is really excited about it all. We’ve never pushed her to do anything she didn’t want to do. She loves penguins and when she went to the zoe the other day and saw some she pointed at them and said, ‘that will be me!’. She wants a penguin of her own now.”

Peyton, who is in the reception class at the Eastwood Academy, attends the Amanda Restell Academy of Dance, is proving to be an inspiration for little sister Harper-Blue, one. She is already following in her footsteps by appearing in a BBC2 drama Up the Women at the age of two weeks.
