FIREFIGHTERS used specialist cutting equipment to free a woman from her car following a crash near the Anne Boleyn pub in Rochford.
Two fire crews were called to the scene of an an accident in Sutton Road, Rochford, at 7.30pm tonight. (Sunday)
A woman was cut free from her vehicle and left in the care of the East of England Ambulance Service.
A Transit Van and car were involved in the crash.
An eyewitness said: "The crash happened near the Anne Boleyn pub. There were lots of firefighters and police at the scene.
"The fire crews cut the woman out of her car. It looked like a bad crash."
The road was closed during the rescue operation.
