A PRIMARY school has teamed up with Southend United to support a campaign which aims to bring an end to polio.
The League One club’s captain Adam Barrett visited Kents Hill School, in Benfleet, to hand out purple wristbands.
The wristbands show support for Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign. Blues are backing the appeal, promoted locally by Southend Rotary Club.
It is raising money to buy doses of the anti-polio vaccine, which can protect children against the disease in the last four countries of the world where polio is still found.
