Southend company Ipeco wins Boeing Dreamliner contract

ONE of Southend’s biggest employers is celebrating after landing a multi-million pound contract with the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer.

Ipeco, which employs about 400 people at its site in Aviation Way, will make cockpit seats for Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner.

The agreement confirms Ipeco’s position as the world market leader in commercial aircraft flight-deck seating.

SAEN are stragely quite on this and todays not too bad two page spread in the Echo prehaps they have finally seen that it is them that are the minority and its the majority that want the airport to expand its services.

But out of curiosity can someone tell mehow much the seats are and how many they are going to make
. multimillion pounds seems a lot of money
If you want to createa jobs look at the building sites and hospitals and lets have a level playing field on genuine british jobs.
