Shoebury police station will no longer be open to the public on Fridays. Essex Police has said this is due to staff shortages. It will remain closed on Fridays until further notice.

Thats fine, I guess I can cut the amount of council tax that goes to the police by one seventh. Suits me.

By far the majority of shoebury is covered from Southend Police Station by the NPT response teams. Only PCSO's and NBO's work from shoebury and they will still be there - only the FRONT OFFICE is closing.
SO in actual fact the policing level of SHoebury will remain the same. The only reduction in staff will be one front office staff member - i think, just maybe, shoebury will cope with this.
How about you lot get the facts right before making such sweeping and illjudged comment?
