Sub editors at their usual standard :-(

That is spelt "bridle path" - a "bridal path" is normally figurative rather than topographical.

Yet more evidence that out local useless scumbag yoof are out of control. We are now seeing the results of the population explosion of the 1990's - and there's yet more to come I fear.

About time our new Chief Constable wrote another article, telling us how crime is decreasing and the streets are safer than ever.

I hope the young lad is on the mend. I was attacked in the street when I was of similar age and it was just awful. I just hope the perpetrators are dealt with appropriately! My attacker got away with a slapped wrist, and that was over 20 years ago! Some things never change.....

A section of our society show no fear of the consequences.

The reason is their parents show contempt for the law and have raised children that follow by example and their kids are now out of control.

A product of 'broken Britain'

Labour and their 'tough on crime polices' are killing us.

What examples does this Government set:

Harman fined £350 on the 8.1.10
for careless driving and use of mobile phone.

Baroness Scotland employed and was fined for employing an illegal immigrant

Government appointed Childrens commissioner Dr Maggie Atkinson paid £150,000 per year states the killing of James Bulger was just unpleasant and the killers should not have stood trial.

In 2007 The Home Secretary, Lord Chancellor and Attorney General wrote to Judges stating 'Send less criminals to prison' despite Judges taking the opposite view.

Prison sentences halved and early release schemes.

Lancashire Police recently released figures showing person released on bail committed 24 murders, 9 rapes plus 11,171 crimes.

They are killing us.

For once and ignoring the Anti-NuLab stuff EvilC has a point.

Recent events surrounding the Bulger
case have shown a worrying trend where young offenders may be judged by some to be incapable of separating right from wrong and it is suggested that the age of resposibility be raised.

It needs to be recognised that very young people are capable of inflicting intentional serious harm and, subject to proper mental health investigation, they should be tried and sentenced accordingly.
