But you sound so much like an expert.
I would go with your opinion over that of the detectives any day.
Why don't you run for chief?

You are such a cynic, See-the-real. While he admits to not being an expert, clearly he's seen the detailed police report of the incident.

Ah if it was attempted murder, the attacker would have had to have planned the attack. It may well have been a mugging gone wrong...

I don't think Southend is a more dangerous place to live. You have to balance out the amount of incidents with the number of people that live and visit Southend. Also with the good things, like Nick the security guard who jumped in the sea and saved a disabled man. Restores faith in the people of Southend I would think.

Yet again another example of released on bail. How can safety be improved when the assailant is back out to have another go at somebody else?

29 years old carrying a knife to stab people!!!! He is dangerous and should not be on bail. If justice existed in the UK he would get minimum 10 years meaning 10 years. However the reality is he will probably get 6 months suspended for 1 year. We can blame the police but they are just as frustrated as us. We can blame the judges but they too are bound by sentencing guidelines laid down by the government of the day. Incidentally Kenneth Clarke who is the current Secretary Of State For Justice is an advocate for more lenient sentencing guidlines, and proposes just that. If there is no effective deterrent there is no reason for dangerous criminals to change.

Why have they given bail. I walk around Southend and do not want this muppet walking the same streets. Carring a knife shows intent, that should be enough in its own right.

Stabbing somebody anywhere could possibly lead to fatal blood loss so it should definitely be attempted murder! Stabbing is a very close, personal & cold attack, more so than a gun or a beating! It should be attempted murder but this is England so you cant expect anything in the way of justice!
