My own car, parked at the rear of my home was broken into just before Christmas, & has since been written off as a result, causing me considerable distress both personally & financially. The Police closed the file within a week, & despite the presence of forensic evidence no fingerprints etc were taken. Despite the reticence of the Police Officer who took my statement, I have since found out that there have numerous such incidents in my area, Westcliff, & the model of car I had is well-known for being broken into.
I hope that the victims of these crimes have a better experience than I have.
