Sadly, I think, Her Majesty is being reduced to a cost factor and allthough it is difficult to substantiate the income in tourism she generates in pounds and pence, let's face it, Buckingham Palace or any other Royal Palace for that matter would amount to little more then just another museum to visiting tourist, were it not for the miniscule chance of catching a glimpse of a member of the Royal Family.

Why else would tourists line up outside her palaces if not for that reason.

Also, she is the finest ambassador for the realm, promoting understanding and togetherness, rather then hatred and self centeredness, as is done here all too often.

And that is a naturalized Brit saying that.

God Save the Queen and may her reign last for years to come yet.
She's the biggest benefits scrounger in the UK. Lives a life of unparalleled luxury financed entirely by the taxpayer. She even had the cheek to apply for poverty payments to help heat her palace:

So don't give me any cr@p about the queen promoting 'togetherness', Elizabeth Saxe-Coburg Gotha doesn't give a d@mn about the ordinary people of Britain.

What has she achieved? Living to 85 in luxury in a job she got through nothing more than accident of birth. Anyone could do that.

We would still get the tourism trade without the 'royals'. People still visit Hampton Court Palace even though Henry VIII has been dead for 465 years. France has a thriving tourist trade with no royals at all.

    Bring on Madame la Guillotine."
