Did I take part? No, however I'm the wrong gender to do so.

Congratulations to all who took part, for a worthy cause. I just wish that men could also take part. While there may be some events for men, none are as heralded as the Race for Life, which I'm sure would attract more awareness and therefore sponsorship.

I have had a close friend and mentor, and a close family member die from cancer, and would love to have taken part in something like this.

But not to take away from those who do. They are caring, and they are generous, but most of all, they have been affected. Well done!

PJR121 agree with you there, Would be great if men could do it too. Hopefully not at Barleylands next year as getting there and parking where a joke. Took us over an hour to get out of the car park.

We got to Barleylands at 9.30am and drove straight in and parked. However my daughter took an hour and a half to get from Falstones to Barleylands, a journey normally of 10 mins, she left home at 9.30am. It was such a shame as she missed our team leader Karen Morris's speech just before the start of the race.
Never mind, in the end we all completed the 5k (dog as well) and raised alot of money for cancer research, which is what its all about.
