CCTV has been released of a gang of home raiders suspected of targeting a string of houses in a wealthy part of south east London.

Detectives released the clip of four men who smashed the back door of a house in Cookham Dene Close in affluent Chislehurst on February 9 and grabbed cash, designer handbags and jewellery.

The gang is suspected of another terrifying raid in the same road on March 5 that saw an 11-year-old boy and a teenage girl grabbed and dragged around the house, and a 81-year-old man sprayed in the face with what he believed was a corrosive substance.

In the February raid, four men smashed the back patio door of the house at around 7.10pm, and were caught on a security camera prowling around looking for valuables.

One of them is seen spraying liquid.

The gang is suspected of a number of burglaries where the raiders ring the doorbell before breaking in through the back of the house.

They are four stocky white men aged in their mid-20s, and all wore matching Converse All Star style trainers, baseball caps, scarves and dark gloves.
