A Premier League manager has been found guilty of failing to identify the driver of his car after it was caught speeding on a motorway.

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton was fined and ordered to pay costs by magistrates in Solihull, West Midlands.

His Audi A7 car was caught travelling at 73mph in a 60mph speed limit zone on the northbound carriageway of the M42 in Solihull, a court official said.

Magistrates found the former Birmingham City FC manager, from Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, guilty of failing to provide details of who was at the wheel of the luxury vehicle at the time of the offence, on February 21.

A court spokesman said his licence would be endorsed with six penalty points. He was also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
