Preparing for the off in July Ann Tull with son Lewis and his girlfriend Nicole White
A NURSE and two teenagers are preparing to cycle 200 miles to raise cash for a cancer charity.
Ann Tull, 45, who works as a urology cancer nurse at Southend Hospital, will spend five days in Holland cycling with her son Lewis, 16, and his girlfriend Nicole White, 15, both pupils at Greensward College.
Ann, of Canewdon View Road, Rochford, is hoping to be fit and ready for the challenge in July, despite losing three weeks of training after she underwent a knee operation at the end of April.
She said: "I should be OK. I have quite a regime to get me back cycling and fit again."
The trio hope to raise £1,500 for Orchid Cancer Appeal, which Ann has been associated for many years.
She tours schools teaching boys about testicular cancer and the charity provides the information leaflets.

Ann said: "This charity is very dear to my heart."
Ann was 16 when she lost her sister Gaynor to cancer, her mum Stella and her dad Derek three years ago.
She added: "I know what it means to lose someone to cancer and want to raise funds to find a cure."
They are hoping someone may lend them a tandem. If there is anyone who can help they should e-mail atull@southend.nhs.uk
