Commenting on the Thames Gateway development, the deputy leader of Basildon Council, Wickford councillor Tony Ball, is quoted (Nov 15) as saying "You can't have all this extra housing without the proper infrastructure being put in place first and we've seen precious little development of infrastructure so far."
He was one of the councillors, who has given planning permission for over 700 residential units in the Wickford Masterplan area without a single improvement or addition to our local infrastructure.
Can Mr Ball please explain why these principles do not apply to Wickford?
