I took a walk along the beach at Shoebury and sat on the sea wall, only to have three fishermen set up their gear on the railings above me.
After a lot of banging and loud talking, it seemed clear I was obstructing them, yet they had parked their truck in the middle of a public footpath. Why is there never police or a traffic warden about when you want one, I thought.
To my surprise, not ten minutes later a police officer arrived and told them to move the truck, but they had the cheek to moan about a van also parked on the path carrying disabled people.
I would like to thank whoever reported these people for parking on the path and also the woman police officer for getting them to move their truck.
It’s nice to see some law still exists in our community.
