If Tony Cox (Nov 2) checked the Burges Estate Residents’ Association accounts on our website, he would know the association does not fund Independent councillors.
Members are not interested in political affiliations, nor would Independent councillors insult the intelligence of the membership by telling them how to vote.
Members are from many political persuasions, some of whom Mr Cox would recognise from the council chamber and Parliament, not to mention the local Conservative Association.
If Mr Cox was aware of local issues, he would understand some parts of West Shoebury form part of the Burges Estate and are subject to the same issues as many of the residents in Thorpe Ward.
Why is it that no West Shoebury councillor has offered support or encouragement to the association?
Could it be they don’t care, or their priorities/loyalties lie elsewhere?
