Sex assault on girl

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Southend. The attack on the teenager happened in the early hours of this morning. Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw a large group of people arguing with a man in the area of Riveria Drive, Bellevue Avenue and Ilfracombe Avenue.

Street robber steals £20 from girl

A STREET robber pushed over a 14-year-old girl and stole a £20 note from her hand. The girl was walking past a bakery in Woodgrange Drive, Southend, at 11.30am yestderday when the man pushed her, grabbed the cash and ran off towards the Kursaal. He is described as white, 20, under 6ft tall and he was wearing a grey tracksuit and a black baseball cap with a silver Nike logo on it.
