TWO Hollywood stars were making their debut on the Southend stage last night.
Kelly McGillis who was a household name in the Eighties thanks to her role opposite Tom Cruise in Top Gun, and Rolf Saxon who appeared in Mission Impossible and Entrapment, were both booked to appear at the Palace Theatre, in London Road, Westcliff.
They will be on stage until Friday as the two lead roles in the play Frankie and Johnny.
Ellen McPhillips, theatre director, said: “Obviously we’re delighted to have two such talented actors with names familiar to so many cinema goers on stage in Westcliff.
“Frankie and Johnny is a classic love story and this production gives the people of Essex a real opportunity to see Hollywood talent on their doorstep.”
