CYCLISTS are being urged to get their entries in for a charity bike ride in memory of a man who died from heart problems, aged 28.
It is the third year the Cycling Challenge has run in support of the Paul Davies Memorial Fund for the Cardiomyopathy Association.
There will be three routes to choose from. The shortest is a 25km fun ride. There are also a 50km and 100km rides.
In 2005, Paul, a former Billericay School pupil, died from young persons’ heart disease, a condition which weakens the heart muscles and is the commonest cause of sudden death for people under 30.
Entry is £10 and all those who finish will receive an award.
All three rides start from Hannakins Farm Community Centre, Rose Bay Avenue, Billericay, at 8.30pm on Sunday.
