Travellers gear up for new round of fight to stay

TRAVELLERS fighting to stay in their Dale Farm homes have drawn up battle plans ahead of the next big Basildon Council eviction vote.

Campaigners for the huge illegal site in Crays Hill are gathering evidence to back their bid to stay.

Spokesman Grattan Puxon said: “The community is collating letters from schools, doctors, hospitals and social services to submit to the committee.

“We have a mother expecting triplets. The future of St Christopher’s Community Centre is also at stake."
