MORE than £700 was raised for a hospice by mods who partied the night away.
The northern soul night raised £737 for St Luke’s Hospice, Basildon.
Live performances from The Most and Bif Bam Pow and a donation of art from Dean Smith Art ensured the event was a big crowd-puller.
Anita Whelan, community fundraiser for the hospice, said: “Special thanks go to Mick Finch and his family for organising what was a fantastic evening and Bif Bam Pow and Dean Smith Art for lending their support to the hospice.
“Donations such as this make a tangible difference to the care the hospice is able to provide.
“On behalf of eveyone at St Luke’s I’d like to say thank you to everyone who attended the event.”
