Rochford Hundred keen to bounce back from Basildon defeat
9:00am Friday 26th October 2012 in Sport By Chris Phillips
ROCHFORD Hundred will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Basildon when they head to Chingford tomorrow.
Rochford sunk to the bottom of the London One North table after losing 26-20 to their Essex rivals last weekend.
And first team coach Graham Pratt is now demanding the right kind of reaction.
“We need to go out with a positive attitude and take the game to our hosts,” said Pratt.
“Going to Chingford is never an easy match but so far this season no matches have been easy and it’s very much sink or swim at this level.”
Rochford have made changes to their starting line-up with Richard Mott coming in to the second row to partner Greg Whight and Michael Stemp has been switched from centre to play as a flanker.
Dan Bracknell makes a return at scrum half, with Lloyd O’Connor moving to stand off as Nick Ventress keeps his inside centre spot alongside captain Matt Stewart.
Chingford are ninth in the table, having won three of their eight games so far this season while Basildon, who are now just one place below them, are at home to seventh placed Diss.
In London Three North East, table topping South Woodham Ferrers travel to mid-table Beccles and ninth placed Canvey Island are at home to Sudbury who are locked level in the standings with 10 points.
In Essex One, Bilelricay host Upper Clacton and, in Essex Two, Stanford le Hope travel to Brightlingsea and Pegasus Palmerians are at Phantoms.
