BOTTOM of the table Rochford Hundred made it 11 matches without a win, following a 49-10 defeat against Letchworth Garden City.
The visitors took control early on at Magnolia Road and scored two converted tries after poor Rochford tackling allowed them to open up the home side’s defence.
But Rochford replied with an excellent piece of rugby which resulted in full back Marcus Spremulli diving over for a try, but that was as good as it got for them.
The rest of a dour match was a case of Hundred trying to keep Letchworth at bay with many handling errors due to the wet conditions from both sides.
However, Letchworth were still able to run in four more tries and their kicker was also in excellent form with five conversions and three penalty kicks.
A late rally by the home team in the last quarter resulted in a Sam Barnes penalty but that was no compensation for Rochford who knew their performance was not good enough.
