BASILDON face a crunch clash in London One North tomorrow when they host fellow strugglers Beaconsfield.

Basildon had their game against Chingford called off last weekend because of a frozen pitch.

And they will be hoping to get back in action this weekend.

In their last outing, Basildon moved up to third from bottom in the standings with a welcome 12-5 against Romford & Gidea Park and they will be seeking more of the same against a Beaconsfield side who have suffered eight successive defeats.

That run of poor results has taken them to second from bottom in the table, just ahead of Rochford Hundred.

They travel to fifth place Brentwood tomorrow and will be wanting to end a run of 12 games without a win.

In London Three North East, table topping South Woodham Ferrers are at home to seventh placed Harlow looking for a sixth straight win while ninth placed Canvey Island travel to Beccles, who are fifth in the standings.

Billericay sit fifth in Essex One and are at home to third place Dagenham this weekend while, in Essex Two, fifth placed Pegasus Palmerians face a tough task at league leaders Ilford Wanderers Stanford le Hope, who are sixth, head to fourth placed May & Baker.
