Leyton Orient's Russell Slade: Tie with Southend United isn't over yet
4:24pm Wednesday 6th February 2013 in Sport By Chris Phillips
Russell Slade - believes Leyton Orient can still beat Southend United and reach Wembley
LEYTON Orient manager Russell Slade is certain the O’s can still win their two legged tie Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Southend United.
The O’s head to Roots Hall 1-0 down from the first leg at Brisbane Road.
But Slade has not given up hope of getting through to Wembley.
“We’ve made life very difficult for us but there’s a lot to play for as it’s still only half-time,” said Slade.
“We’re now the underdogs and Southend have got an advantage now at home.
“I would think they probably think the job is mainly done but I think it’s far from over though and there is a lot of football still left.”
