SOUTHEND United striker Elliot Benyon has joined Torquay United on a month long loan deal.

The 25-year-old forward has been unable to secure a starting slot with Blues, who he joined in January 2012, scoring twice in 28 appearances.

He made just three starts for Paul Sturrock's side this season and will now be hoping to get his career back on track with the Gulls where he spent four successful years earlier on in his career.

I thought we are short of strikers; is this lad no good? Seems we have a lot of "deadwood" on salaries at the moment.
Where is Tomlin?
