ROCHFORD Hundred go head to head with relegation rivals Basildon in a crucial London One North clash tomorrow.

Rochford are currently bottom of the table, one point and one place behind Basildon.

And Hundred’s first team manager Graham Pratt believes it is vital for his team to come out on top.

“It is a big match for both teams due to the league situation,” said Pratt.

“Basildon beat us at our place earlier on in the season and the boys are still smarting over that.

“Games between the two clubs are always keenly contested although we have a good relationship with Basildon and look forward to meeting old friends again but it is a very important game.”

Whoever loses the Saturday’s game will find it incredibly tough to stay up but Rochford head in to it with just one win in their last 14 outings, while Basildon have triumphed in just one of their last 10.

In London Three North East, table topping South Woodham Ferrers travel to third placed Upminster in another important encounter while third from bottom Canvey Island host the team just below them in the table, Wisbech.

Canvey are currently a point ahead of their rivals and will be looking to expand that gap even further.

In Essex One, sixth placed Billericay are at home to Old Cooperians, who are second while in Essex Two third placed Pegasus Palmerians are at fifth placed May & Baker and Stanford le Hope, who are sixth, travel to bottom of the table Kings Cross Steelers.
