Bilel Mohnsi returns to Southend United and should start against Northampton Town

Bilel Mohsni - back at Southend United Bilel Mohsni - back at Southend United

BILEL Mohsni has made an unbelievable return to Southend United and is expected to start against Northampton Town this afternoon.

The fiery Frenchman has not been seen at Roots Hall since playing against Crewe Alexandra in the play-offs at the end of last season.

After that, Mohsni and the club both stated he had played his last game for Blues.

But, with Ryan Cresswell suspended and Chris Barker and Mark Phillips injured, Mohsni has been handed an unlikely recall.

And he looks set to figure in today’s clash against the Cobblers at Roots Hall.

He owes the manager, other players & most of all the Southend fans a 100% effort, attitude & performance in this game & any others he gets to play in. If he grabs the chance he could still play a role in a getting the club promoted & maybe get a Wembley final chance. Even if he is looking to go elsewhere, the best way to attract bidders is attitude & performance on the pitch. What sort of fan reaction he gets remains to be seen.

is it really the managers fault?
Bilel decided his own fate today; injuries are unexpected and extreme....if I was manager, I would be crying in bed tonight, but not with myself.

Sturrock new what he was letting himself in for when he arrived, getting in 19 players in his first season was the tell tale sign, he decided on the keeper and what a disaster he has turned out to be RM not one of my favourite people but again he doesn't pick the team and he is guided by what players the manager wants and at what cost.PS has had two bites of the cherry and alas has failed on both occasions.
