Westcliff Hard and Thorpe Bay square up for Southend tennis derby in Essex LTA Winter Cup

WESTCLIFF Hard and Thorpe Bay's ladies veteran teams will battle it out in a derby match for county honours.

The clubs will lock horns in the Harry Brickwood Cup in Thundersley next month.

It is one of three Essex County LTA winter cup finals being played at the Deanes Indoor Tennis Centre on Sunday, March 3.

Westcliff Hard and Thorpe Bay's match is at 12 noon at the centre in Daws Heath Road.

The other matches will see holders Gidea Park face Virgin Active (Clearview) in the Ian Pitt Cup for veteran men, with holders Grove Chelmsford up against Danbury in the Don Barton Cup for mixed doubles.
