ASHINGDON Youth are hoping their mini-soccer tournament this year will be the biggest and best yet.

Last year’s event attracted record entries and the club are hoping to beat that when the popular tournament is held on the weekend of July 6 and 7.

Teams from Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire and London took part in the seven-a-side tournament at Ashingdon’s Cherry Orchard Lane ground in Rochford.

This will be the seventh time the Essex County FA-affiliated event has been held.

Age groups are under-seven, eight, nine and 10, based on 2012-13 season ages.

Entry is £35 per team, although clubs entering two teams for the same age group can enter for £50.

There will be sideshows and refreshments available on both days.
