LUKE Prosser feels it has yet to sink in that Southend United will be playing at Wembley in April.

Blues made it through to the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Wednesday night after earning a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient to win 3-2 on aggregate.

But the size of the achievement has not hit home for Prosser.

“When you’re a kid you dream of playing at Wembley but it hasn’t really sunk in yet that we’re going to be playing there,” said Prosser, who lined up at the heart of the back four against the O’s.

“We’re all ecstatic and cannot wait for the final because we knew this was the chance of a lifetime.

“It was amazing when Ben Reeves put the ball in the net at the end and we knew we were almost there.

“We didn’t play that well on the night and I know I definitely didn’t but it was just all about getting through and we’ve done that so we’re really pleased.”
