Bilel Mohsni - back in the starting line up
SOUTHEND United manager Paul Sturrock has made three changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s game against Rotherham United at Roots Hall, with Bilel Mohsni being handed a surprise recall in attack.
Mohsni has been preferred to Barry Corr alongside Britt Assombalonga up front while Daniel Mayor and Ryan Leonard will also start in midfield.
Leonard has come in for Mickey Spillane who drops to the bench while Mayor has replaced Ben Reeves whose loan deal from Southampton has not yet been extended.
Boss Sturrock has also opted to change captain with right-back Sean Clohessy taking the armband from Luke Prosser who had previously been skippering the side in the absence of the injured Chris Barker.
Southend United: Smith, Clohessy, Cresswell, Prosser, Straker, Hurst, Leonard, Lund, Mayor, Assombalonga, Mohsni
Substitutes: Spillane, Eastwood, Harris, Corr, Bentley, Spcier & Woodyard
