Southend United's fans could be playing at Wembley next month
SOUTHEND United fans could have the chance to take to the field at Wembley for next month’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final.
A competition will be held on the pitch at half-time of Blues’ clash against Crewe Alexandra on Sunday, April 7.
And supporters can now enter the draw on www.johnstonespainttrophy. com to be chosen to take part.
Three winners will be chosen to come to Wembley and each will have 90 seconds to score as many points as possible during half-time, with one point awarded for hitting an inflatable paint pot and 10 for chipping in the ball.
The winners will also be given four tickets to the final for themselves and three of their friends or family.
The person who scores the most points in the allocated time wins £500, with second place taking home £200 and third winning £100.
All three winners will get a JPT football shirt and goodie bag and commemorative photos.
The competition is one of a number of activities organised by the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy ahead of the final.
Children under 12 have been asked to demonstrate their creative flair by designing a football boot while youngsters aged 12-18 are invited to “Be a Johnstone’s Journalist” and write about their love for their club.
More information is on the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy website.
