Freddy Eastwood - back in the starting line-up for Southend United
SOUTHEND United manager Paul Sturrock has made five changes to the starting line-up for this afternoon’s game against Torquay United at Roots Hall.
The Blues boss has decided to recall Daniel Bentley in goal in place of Paul Smith while new loan signings Tamika Mkandawire and Ben Reeves have gone straight in to the side.
Mkandawire will line-up at centre-back instead of the injured Ryan Cresswell who misses out with a calf strain while Reeves has been preferred to Ryan Leonard.
Fit again Marc Laird will also line up in midfield instead of Mickey Spillane while Freddy Eastwood will start in attack.
Bilel Mohsni will therefore revert to centre-back in place of the suspended Luke Prosser.
Barry Corr is also unavailable due to illness but top goalscorer Gavin Tomlin is back on the bench after recovering from a thigh problem.
Southend United: Bentley, Clohessy, Mohsni, Mkandawire, Straker, Hurst, Lund, Laird, Reeves, Eastwood, Assombalonga
Subs: Smith, Spillane, Leonard, Spicer, Tomlin, Woodyard & Njie
