BLUES' defender Ryan Cresswell was forced to miss Saturday's draw against Torquay United with a calf problem.

And boss Paul Sturrock is not sure if the influential centre back will be fit for Tuesday night's match with Plymouth Argyle at Roots Hall.

“Ryan failed a fitness test before the game and it's not like him to miss a match so you know it must be quite bad,” said Sturrock.

“Whether or not Tuesday comes too soon for him we're not sure but we obviously hope he'll recover in time and be available.”

However, Cresswell was not the only absentee against the Gulls as Barry Corr missed out through illness and Neil Harris with a knee problem.

“Barry rang to say he couldn't even get his head off the pillow and we will have to see how he is,” said Sturrock.

“Neil also had a problem with his knee and was not able to play.”
