IT'S been a good couple of weeks for Jimmy Dale at Rochford Hundred Golf Club.

On Sunday he comprehensively beat Tom Watkins in a 36-hole match play, just a week after he’d teamed up with his dad Marshal to win the Choyce Spring Foursomes final.

And the duo had gone close to an impressive club treble when they fell at the semi-final stage of the Carr Hodson to the eventual winners, Tom Wells & Jed Beardsall.

The ladies have also played their finals with Maria Williams defeating Sue Proctor to land the Nelson Keys in the Silver Division.

Beryl Claxton enjoyed a fruitful end to the season as she won both the Thornton cup, and also the Foursomes knockout with Lyn Ivison.

Douglas Davies posted a very impressive 42 Stableford points to win the Hillier Bowl, and second place went to Kenneth Taylor.

The 17th proved to be Taylor’s downfall as a triple bogey seven wrecked his charge, but at least he could console himself with the Drinkwater Trophy.

The best score on the Sunday went to Jack Dyer, who, playing off two, shot a superb 39 points to see him cut to one.

Dyer posted five birdies in his round, and only a run of three bogeys in five holes saw him come up short.

The second best score on Sunday went to Francis Lutterodt with 39 points as he saw his handicap cut to 13.
