Carl Josey baffled by Essex Leopards' poor start to season
ESSEX Leopards skipper Carl Josey has been baffled by his side’s poor start to the season.
The Big Cats have already been knocked out of the National Trophy after suffering four successive defeats in the competition.
But Josey has urged his team-mates not to dwell on the run of indifferent results.
“Obviously, we need to adjust and move forward as there is no need to dwell on the past,” said Josey.
“I honestly never thought we would be in this situation, but if it was easy to win then everyone would be winning.
“We have to get back to the drawing board and get things rolling as there is a lot to play for still.”
Leopards’ next chance to impress comes at Medway Park Crusaders this weekend.
But Josey knows the team must impress more regularly during their matches if they are to return to winning ways.
“We see moments in games of what we’re capable of, but the problem is it’s just moments,” said Josey.
“It’s quite tough to get to grips with because at the moment we have a great roster of players that have yet to gel as a team, but I’m sure that will change.”
