SOUTHEND United boss Phil Brown has made it on the shortlist for November’s manager of the month award, while centre-back Luke Prosser has been nominated for player of the month.
Brown’s team picked up 13 points out of a possible 15 during a successful month and the Shrimpers chief will be up against Accrington Stanley’s James Beattie, Burton Athletic’s Gary Rowett and Bristol Rovers’ John Ward for the award.
Prosser started all of those matches and helped Blues pick up three clean sheets.
He also scored an injury time winner against York City and has been shortlisted alongside Chesterfield midfielder Ollie Banks, Dagenham winger Zavon Hines and Fleetwood Town midfielder Steven Schumacher.
The winners of both awards will be announced on Friday.
