BILLERICAY Town will be the only south-east Essex non-league side in action this afternoon as rain again decimated fixtures.

Craig Edwards team will travel to Thamesmead Town in the Ryman Premier after the South London team's Bayliss Avenue pitch passed an inspection this morning.

The playing surface had been described as "very wet" following overnight rain but was given the green light following an inspection at 10.30am.

Elsewhere the picture is bleak, with Concord Rangers' trip to Bromley postponed in the Skrill South.

Billericay's Ryman Premier rivals Canvey Island and East Thurrock United have both had their matches called off too.

Gulls were due to host Lewes at the Prospects Stadium, with Rocks scheduled to face Kingstonian at Rookery Hill.

The entire Essex Senior League programme has been wiped out, meaning Basildon United v Southnd Manor, Bowers & Pitsea v Harringey Borough, Great Wakering Rovers and Sawbridgeworth v Hullbridge Sports will all be played at a later date.
