Awesome foursome – Westcliff Rugby Club’s Billy Morrant, Harrison King, Jack Longhurst and Charlie Brown have been called up to the region’s divisional sides
A QUARTET of Westcliff youngsters are celebrating after being selected for London & South East Divisional sides.
Hooker Billy Morrant and prop Charlie Brown have been called up to the under 18s, while hooker Harrison King and centre Jack Longhurst have been named in the under 16s.
The quartet fought off competition from 10 other counties to be picked.
And their inclusions delighted Essex Rugby coaching co-ordinator Darren Morrant, who has worked with all four of the youngsters.
He said: “This is a huge accolade for Westcliff and their ability to produce top players.
“The boys deserve their opportunity. We are very proud and hope they can also impress the England clubs and schools selectors.”
